The Chabad Center of Sudbury will host an ACS Stop the Bleed™ Class Sunday, April
26, 2026.
THIS IS A HANDS-ON COURSE!
The presented material will include the American College of Surgeons (ACS) coursework. Additionally, content that is applicable to volunteer security guards, congregants, and members of the Jewish community will be provided. Including recommended equipment to buy and carry for your home, auto, work, or EDC.
Part of the class is hands-on, which will require the students to practice what they learned and
to demonstrate their skills sufficient to receive a related certificate.
Participants in the course will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control it with three simple techniques. The ACS Stop the Bleed training course will empower students to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.
The class concentrates on these three critical concepts:
1. Use your hands to apply direct pressure to a wound.
2. Pack a wound to control bleeding.
3. Apply a tourniquet.
The life or limb that you save MAY BE YOUR OWN, a CLOSE FAMILY MEMBER, or
even a TOTAL STRANGER.
