We hope you had an enjoyable holiday of Passover and had meaningful and uplifting Seders with family and friends.
Indeed it is a year with abundant challenges as we think of our brothers and sisters in Israel, the hostages, and the rise in antisemitism, yet despite that the faith and hope of the Seder night, reminded us all of the importance of being upbeat and joyous, even as we are in pain and acknowledge the very painful dynamics that are happening.
Seeing the new rise in dramatic antisemitism in the colleges over the last few days, is a reminder of just how important the Passover message of freedom, resilience, confidence and Jewish pride is in modern times.
At Chabad of Sudbury we enjoyed a big community Seder on the 1st night with almost 90 people in attendance. Thank you to everyone who came, helped out and joined in. Our crowd consisted of such a beautiful and diverse group and it included local Jews from France, UK, Israel, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, Argentina, Moldova, the US and so many other places. It was a truly beautiful and uplifting evening and the message of Passover 2024 really resonated with the crowd.
We also enjoyed several programs and lots of visits to local nursing and senior living facilities, which were very well received.
Thank you to everyone who helped out with the deliveries and assembly of the Passover Dinners and Passover Joy Packages which reached dozens of homebound seniors and hundreds of homes.
Thank you to everyone who has been participating with the daily services and so much more at Chabad of Sudbury.
Finally a big thank you to everyone who has helped out with extra financial support towards all of the Passover programs.
Seeing the amount of people celebrating Passover across the world, and across our community and also acknowledging and doing more for the hostages and for the situation in Israel, is heartwarming and inspires us all with the confidence to move forward and continue making the world be a better place one day and one Mitzvah at a time.!
