This past Tuesday night a huge crowd of almost 150 people joined us for our annual Chanukah Celebration and Menorah Lighting in Sudbury Town Center. The smiles and joy that showed on everyone's faces encapsulated the wonderful feelings and sentiments brought out by this event. Both young and old were there in great numbers singing, enjoying the Chanukah Refreshments, participating in the Menorah Lighting, and enjoying the Magic show by Prof. Dan the magician.
One participant commented on how wonderful it is to have an event like this to bring their children to and at the same time to see the number of participants continue to grow each year.
The event began with some warm up singing and short remarks by Rabbi Freeman following the actual lighting ceremony was held. While the weather was not as cold as in previous years the singing and abundant smiles helped add some extra warmth and spirit. Following the lighting and some pictures with the Menorah and Giant Dreidel everyone headed upstairs to the Grange Hall for the Chanukah Refreshments, Hot Drinks, and an exciting Magic Show by Prof. Dan who entertained all the children for the duration of the party.
