Personal Year End Note

Wednesday, 7 December, 2011 - 1:27 pm

Dear Friends,

As we enter into the last few weeks of 2011 many of you will be considering last minute donations and contributions for the 2011 Calendar year to worthy causes and institutions. I would like to extend a personal request that you please consider Chabad of Sudbury among the causes of your choice.

2011 has been a banner year for us in many areas of our work as multiple new programs and initiatives were successfully carried through and implemented, and existing programs saw continued growth and expansion. In addition, despite 2011 being an extremely challenging economic environment we were nevertheless able to fund these successful programs and projects thanks to increased generosity from so many individuals and families in the community.

Some Highlights of 2011 include some of the following.

·         Hundreds of Children benefited from our rich array of Jewish Educational and Cultural Programming

·         Dozens of adults enjoyed hundreds of hours of lectures and classes in our expanded Adult Education Programs enriching themselves and their family with knowledge of our people, culture and its ethics.

·         Many hundreds of people were given the opportunity to participate in Mitzvot and Ritual Jewish Observances.

·         Large Holiday Events open to the public are held each holiday which draw great crowds.

·         Dozens of Seniors benefited from many hours of visitations and unique holiday programs.

·         Scholarships & Assistance were provided to people when needed for Hebrew School, Camp, Tuition or other cicumstances.

·         The Jewish Business Network helped connect over dozens of local businessmen and women with each other.

·         Many Exciting Women’s Events were held which drew dozens of local women

·         Dozens of families and individual were hosted for exciting Shabbat & Holiday meals

·         Synagogue Services on Holidays and Shabbat attracted many participants

·         Multiple Life Cycle Events and Celebrations were held at the Chabad Center in 2010

·         A new local Jewish Day Camp was launched in Sudbury, and provided 23 children with an amazing summer camp experience.

As you see despite the economic challenges of 2011 the Chabad Center of Sudbury grew tremendously and succeeded in touching hundreds of lives. Yet at the same time it has not come without its own financial challenges. So I turn to you to ask you to ask you to consider us in your yearend giving and help us with the home stretch and year end goal of $25,000 to meet our budget and help us jump start 2012 on the right foot.

You could do this with a simple onetime year end Donation Online on our secure website or you may choose to become a Partner of the Chabad of Sudbury by committing to a monthly contribution that fits your ability and help make an ongoing commitment year round to Chabad that gives Chabad the gift of consistency.
