Photos & Report of Kickoff Evening for Jewish Women's Circle of Sudbury's Cooking Club

Monday, 22 November, 2010 - 4:51 pm

IMG_1546.JPGThis past Sunday over 20 local ladies joined together for the kick-off evening of the Jewish Women's Cooking Club an offshoot of the Jewish Women's Circle. The event featured an exciting presentation on making Israeli Salads and Dips by veteran Israeli Culinary experts Shiri Jackman and Tehilla Cherubino, lots of socializing and schmoozing, lots of great food tasting, and a great Pre-Chanukah Interactive Discussion led by Shayna Freeman.

IMG_1557.JPGOver the last four years Jewish Women’s Circle of Sudbury has been steadily growing and attracting many new faces to its fun nights out and exciting activities. Dozens of local women from all different backgrounds and affiliations have participated in the bimonthly get-togethers to socialize, learn something new, and have fun!

IMG_1574.JPGThis year, a committee was formed to provide an even better experience and to help develop a new program. The committee members are Shiri Jackman, Tehillah Cherubino, Nancy Schwartz, Denise Roditi, Elaine Allen, and Shayna Freeman. The committee aims to take the Jewish Women’s Circle to a new level that will bring many enjoyable events and activities to you.

IMG_1569.JPGThe newest project is The Jewish Women’s Cooking Club. The Cooking Club will focus on hands-on food preparation along with opportunities to enjoy and feast over our hard work.   Each session will present new recipes & kitchen tips from our own community friends, tied together with a unique Jewish theme. Almost more importantly than all the food, is making friends & schmoozing, with Cooking Club members.

IMG_1566.JPGThis year’s food theme is Jewish Food from Around the World; Moroccan food, Middle Eastern Desserts, Italian, Israeli, and more…Three to five dishes will be prepared and shared per meeting.

The next event will be taking place in late December and will feature a Jewish Twist on Italian Pasta.
