Myara Farewell Barbecue

Monday, 21 June, 2010 - 12:57 pm

IMG_1022.JPGDozens of friends and relatives joined together for a festive barbecue in honor of the Myara Family of Sudbury who will shortly be returning to Israel. Friends and family members shared their feelings and well wishes to Shimon & Stephanie and to their children Lior who is joining the IDF and Ben, Even and Hila.

The Myara's thanked everyone for all their friendship during the time they have lived in Sudbury and invited everyone to visit them in Shoham, Israel where they will now be residing.

IMG_1032.JPGRabbi Freeman thanked the Myara's for all their friendship, support, and help to the Chabad Center of Sudbury.  Rabbi Freeman highlighted the fact that in this week's Torah portion it talks about how the Prophet's Bilam's curses were confounded due to the the unity of the Jews and among other things the way they lived with each other and what good neighbors they were to each other. Rabbi Freeman expressed the hope that being that they are moving to Israel they should witness the same in today's day and age that all the people who yearn for Israel's downfall will yet turn around and change their curses to blessings for the Jewish People and for the Israel.

IMG_1043.JPGDespite the initial downpour the barbecue was still great and all the food turned out awesome. A special thanks to Shimon Myara who braved the rain in an umbrella to man the barbecue.

We wish them much success in their move and hope that they see lots of Mazal in all aspects of their life in their move to Israel.
