Report & Pictures of Brunch and Talk by Peter Gossels

Monday, 19 April, 2010 - 4:29 pm

080.JPGThis past Sunday April 18th Attorney Peter Gossels (http://gosselslaw.com/) gave a fascinating talk and presentation regarding his experiences in World War Two and how he and his brother were saved by brave French villagers. The audience sat riveted and in awe as he recalled the many details of their survival and the grim fate of his relatives. Interspersed with humor, wit, and awe inspiring details Mr. Gossels left the audience with a powerful story of courage, determination and survival.

079.JPGMr. Gossels daughter Lisa produced an Emmy Awarded Documentary entitled the Children of Chabannes which retold the story of the brave villagers who risked their lives to save her father Peter and 300 other children. We thank Mr. Gossels and his wife Nancy for giving us the time and sharing their story so that we could benefit and learn from their courage and  determination.

073.JPGPrior to the event a Sunday morning service took place and a delicious brunch to top it off.

Thank you to everyone who came to the event and participated. A video of the event may be available in the near future on Framingham Public Access.

In the words of one participant "I was overwhelmed with so much important information, so graciously, humorously, and articulately presented. What a wonderful occasion. Thank you. It was beyond my wildest expectations."
