During the heavy rains of last weekend we kept hearing reports of flooded basements and flooded roads. We thought we had been spared only to discover Tuesday morning a few inches of water in our finished basement. We absorbed quite a bit of damage including a ruined carpet, matresses, Chabad Holiday supplies, some High Holiday Prayer Books, other holiday books, and lots of other stuff that was in storage.

I would like to thank everyone who responded with their help or offers to help and especially to my two Sump Pump providers (when the stores were out of them) Ed Brookmyer and Olga Lepsky, and to Kerry & Judy Weinstein who spent a few hours helping rip up all the wet and damaged carpet and flooring.

We still consider ourselves lucky when we hear about how much damage other people have suffered including two other local Chabad Center's who had a few feet of water each.
We did lose a few matresses from our guest room, so if anyone has any spare matresses which are in good
condition and they don't need then please let us know as we will need a few more before Passover.
Thank you to everyone for your help.
