Rosh Hashanah Report |

5770 began with a bang with a series of well attended services and events. Rosh Hashanah Eve began with a Community Rosh Hashanah Dinner at the Chabad Center during which participants were able to enjoy a great dinner, and a meaningful Rosh Hashanah Eve which was peppered with songs, stories, anecdotes, and shared experiences. Rosh Hashanah Services took place on Rosh Hashanah Eve, Saturday morning & Sunday morning at the Chabad Center and were well attended. A special children's program took place in a Sukkah that was errected at the back of the Chabad Center. On Sunday afternoon a special service took place at the Wingate at Sudbury for the residents and their families. Several dozen people enjoyed the short and tasty service. A special thanks to everyone who helped make Rosh Hashanah the great experience that it was. A special mention is due to Sarah Plotke for running the children's program and to Rabbi Mendel Plotke for his insights, anecdotes, and creative stories over the course of the prayers. We would also like to give special thanks to Ed Brookmyer and Shimon Myara for their last minute help in setting up the tent and synagogue. |
