In the days leading up to Passover, hundreds of children have enjoyed Model Matzah Bakery events that Chabad of Sudbury has hosted right here in Sudbury and in Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley and the New England Hebrew Academy in Brookline.
Dressed in bakers hats and aprons, the children help remove the grain from the wheat, as they learn the story of Passover, and then proceed to grind the grains, make flour, and make a dough and then shape and roll a Matzah, and punch lots of holes in it before they bake their very own Matzah.
Thank you to everyone who helped out and volunteered at these events and helped bring so much to to so many children.
The feedback from parents, teachers and students from this event is tremendous, and so many adults mentioned to us their positive memories of doing this event many years ago.
We have already received more requests to operate even more sessions and events next year in the Sudbury area and well beyond.
Looking forward to G-d willing sharing even more Passover joy next year!
