With prayers and hopes for 5786 to be a year of blessings, unity, celebrations, , meaning and depth, health and healing, kindness, peace and security, especially for everyone in Israel, and of course for the release of all the hostages!
The year is almost ending, and with it came so many blessings, births, weddings, successes, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, milestones of every kind, and at the same time collectively we faced formidable and often deeply painful challenges and realities, alongside stunning and dramatic moments and miracles.
Hopefully our hearts contain so many joyful and meaningful moments, but at same time, cannot be complete and whole, as we carry the pain and sadness of our brothers and sisters, who have gone through so much this year.
As we prepare to sound the Shofar tomorrow and usher in a New Year, I know that at those moments, as we think about G-d and our responsibilities as Jewish people, alongside so many others,
We will be reflecting and praying for a year of an end to discord, suffering and hate.
We will be reflecting and praying for all those who are going through the difficult challenges of health, mental health and so many other challenges.
We will be reflecting and praying for more unity, respect, tolerance and understanding for one another, even if people have different perspectives or come from a different background or place in life.
We will be reflecting and praying for so many across the ocean in the Holy Land and elsewhere, who need an extra dose of blessings, for peace, security, victory over evil and hate, for morality and goodness to prevail over distortion and lies, and a release of all the hostages to their loved ones.
And as we do so, we will all collectively strengthen our resolve and determination to take on and do yet another Mitzvah and good deed throughout this coming year, so that the ripple of changes and blessings that need to come to the world, will begin and be initiated by each and every one of us.
THANK YOU!
At this opportune time, we would also like to say thank you to so many hundreds of you, who are a part of the vibrant community and positive force of Judaism, that we all work on together.
Thank you to everyone who supports our efforts to reach so many throughout the year. We couldn't do this without your generosity and kindness and every one of the hundreds and hundreds of lives touched in a real and deep way, is directly a result of that support.
Thank you to everyone who has helped our efforts to help our brothers and sisters in Israel. Collectively we have sent hundreds of thousands of dollars to support those who have gone through so much, hostage families, injured and displaced, safety equipment for our heroes, help for basics, food and medical assistance, and so much more.
Thank you to everyone who helps and volunteers, with arranging and setting up programs, security and logistics, IT support, kindness visits, shopping, gardening and landscaping and the list goes on.
We are all in this together and G-d willing 5786 will bring much more blessings to everyone and the world at large!
Looking forward to seeing so many of you over Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, including 80 of you at Dinner tonight, hundreds of you at the services and the huge crowd that joins us at Tashlich at the Grist Mill!
From our family to you and yours, Shana Tova UMetuka to each and every one of you!
