The Lag Baomer Joy

Friday, 16 May, 2025 - 1:56 pm

IMG-20250515-WA0203.jpgLast night as we sat around the fire and enjoyed a Lag Baomer Kumzitz, the energy, joy and inspiring message of this special day were in the air.

As Josh strung the Am Yisrael Chai or One Day on his guitar, as all of us hummed along with those songs and other soulful Israeli & Chassidic Melodies. The flames flickered and lit up the beautiful dark night in the bug free outdoors, and the depths of joy, Jewish resilience, love for Israel, and living meaningfully, drifted through the air.

Lag Baomer is here, a joyful and happy day, connected with the holy and deeper teachings of Judaism, along with the resilience and overcoming of so many challenges through our history.

It is truly a day dedicated to the joys, passion and light of what Judaism represents.

At a time, when challenges are in abundance, both globally, for our people and Israel, and of course, so many in their own personal worlds, today, Lag Baomer, is a day to tap in to a deeper dimension of who we are, of the inner strength, faith and core that has motivated us and continued to help us grow, shine and make the world brighter, despite all that has happened in this world.

Tap in to the holiness and blessings of this day, do an extra Mitzvah, light Shabbat Candles, wrap Tefillin, say a personal prayer, do an act of kindness, and ask G-d to shower the world with the blessings it needs.

Of course don't forget to join us at 4:30pm - 6:15pm for the family friendly and super fun Lag Baomer Celebration, including a Hot Dog BBQ, Horse & Pony Rides, Moon Bounce and so much more!

See you this afternoon or / and join us tomorrow for another meaningful Shabbat Service and Luncheon!

Good Shabbos / Shabbat Shalom
