As Passover approaches and we prepare to gather around the Seder table and share this powerful story that has shaped our traditions, values and history, the message that it inspires us with today, is more important than ever.
Let us pray that the miracles that we celebrate should be repeated and the hostages should all be returned home and peace should be restored in Israel and everywhere else around the world where it is needed.
May the obstacles and challenges as formidable as they seem, be overcome with the blessings and determination we derive from this holiday, and may we succeed in continuing to share the values of Judaism that have shaped our ancestors journey for generations, with our children and their journey forward for a brighter Jewish tomorrow and a better world for all of humanity.
Avi Ohana, the father of the hostage Yosef Chaim Ohana, asked me to share a message with the community, so that everyone makes sure they try and fill every chair at their table with someone who might otherwise not have where to celebrate. In doing this act of kindness may we help bring about the miracles the hostages need.
If you don't yet have a plan, please do join us for the Passover Seder tomorrow evening. Details below.
Passover Updates & Thank You
Hundreds have already enjoyed some Pre Passover programs or visits so far as we get in to the home stretch of the final days before Passover. Whether it was the many dozens of children and families who came to the amazing Model Matzah Bakery on Sunday, the young adults with disabilities who enjoyed a beautiful session of their own, or the many dozens of homes, families and seniors who have already enjoyed a house call and the delivery of a Passover package full of joy, Shmurah Matzah and more, Passover joy and inspiration is being shared one moment and interaction at a time.
Passover preparations are in full swing at Chabad of Sudbury as we prepare for the Community Seder and the many meals and services in which so many will participate in. Yesterday and today many dozens of homebound seniors and others received a catered Passover delivered with love to their doorstep. Thank you to everyone who helped sponsor these dinners and our other distributions and thank you to all of our volunteers who have helped make this happen.
Over Passover we will also be conducting Seders and visits at several nursing homes in the area and please let us know if you have a loved one in a local facility and we will try and arrange a visit.
Of course, we cannot forget our brothers and sisters in Israel, and throughout the last two weeks we have been sending support to families we know, to communities in different parts of Israel who are helping people with basics for this holiday, and will be sending support to a hostage family.
Of course using our network to bring some joy and happiness to those serving and protecting our people over this holiday on the frontlines in the North, Golan area, Hebron & Shilo and the Gaza area. See the packages that these guys got and the Chabad Sudbury greeting on the box as they received love and support all the way from here!
If you don't yet have a place for the Seder, please do join us, and if funds are an issue, please do not worry about that.
Thank you to our many generous donors who have been so kind and thoughtful this holiday with donations in every amount. It is truly only through this generosity that we can continue to reach so many in the greater Sudbury area and everyone we serve and seek to reach, and also and so importantly, make a difference to those in Israel.
Don't forget to sell your Chametz in less than 30 seconds at no cost by using this link.

If you have any questions or comments or requests for Passover for you or someone else, please don't hesitate to contact us via email or phone.
