Thanks to the dozens of teens who showed up tonight for a fun and meaningful Thanksgiving Pie Bakeoff Event!
The pies along with the beautiful handwritten letters for the homebound seniors that the teens wrote will make for an uplifting boost for those who receive these dinners on Thanksgiving this year!
A discussion on the meaning of giving Thanks in Judaism, and how the first words we utter each day are Modeh Ani, and why it is so important, added a layer of meaning and depth to the program.

The day started out which such difficult news out of Dubai which hit us like a ton of bricks, yet the packed day of Jewish life from all of the youth in our community, including the Hebrew School, the Bar Mitzvah Club and the Teen programs, were a powerful way of making sure that Am Yisrael Chai is something that is burning as bright as possible on a day like today.
