Passover Seders
The first part of Passover was marked by our largest Seder’s to date with dozens of guests participating in our community Seders. The event drew together young and old and the joyful sounds of singing adults and kids playing added to the homely warm atmosphere that marked the evening. A special thanks to all of the Seder guests who joined us and we look forward to seeing you at our Seder next year in Jerusalem.
Passover Seder in the Wingate
Close to 40 family members and residents of the Wingate of Sudbury joined together with the Chabad Center of Sudbury for a delightful and meaningful Seder experience this past Thursday afternoon. The event included a Seder, traditional Passover songs and tunes, and many other great additions. Tear flowed freely through the event as young and old shared a treasured Jewish holiday together. One 90 something resident delighted the crowd and opened lots of hearts with beautiful renditions of some famous Yiddish Classics such as a Yiddishe Mama. The Seder was truly a unique experience for all who participated. To join in or volunteer for future programs for seniors which are arranged by the Chabad Center of Sudbury please email or call us.
Birchat Hachamah Report
Multiple local residents of Sudbury and Marlborough joined us for a unique Blessing of the Sun which takes place only once every 28 years. The event took place at the Historic Grist Mill of Sudbury which Henry Ford had built so many years ago. The blue sky, bright sun, and the sounds of rushing water contributed to a truly remarkable and unique experience. Perhaps Henry Ford planned this event when he built the Grist Mill as it almost seemed ready made for this beautiful Jewish event. Please mark your calendars for 2037 for our next Birchat Hachamah event.
