Evening with Avi Ohana, father of the Hostage, Yosef Ohana

Friday, 19 July, 2024 - 10:31 am

It is not every day that you meet someone who has been through so much pain in life, and is currently enduring the ongoing nightmare of his son being kidnapped and held hostage, yet at the same time, is someone so full of hope, faith and a unifying message.

We are tremendously grateful to Avi Ohana,  for coming to Sudbury last night to speak about his dear son Yosef Chaim and all the other hostages.

Yosef Chaim was working at the Nova Fest and wouldn't abandon the wounded and ended up being taken taken hostage.

Avi's inner resilience and message of hope, faith along with his call to action for everyone to consider doing that extra good deed, prayer or act of compromise to strengthen unity, hit home with all of us.

Seeing the tears, gratitude and determination to do more on behalf of the hostages by so many in the audience, whether it be advocacy or an extra prayer or Mitzvah, was a testimony to how much Avi touched everyone who came.

We look forward to celebrating with Avi's family, the prompt return of Yosef Chaim and all the other hostages very soon!

Please have in mind Yosef Chaim Ben Miriam and all the other hostages, when you light Shabbat Candles today and pray for the world.
