Thank you Daniel Vaknin for coming to ChabadSudbury last night to share your painful yet powerful story of survival on Oct 7th and beyond and thank you to everyone else who joined us last night to hear his story of survival and what his journey has been like since.
A grandchild of Holocaust Survivors and with his own life shaped by their story, Daniel found himself facing a terrible reality on Oct 7th until ultimately taking shelter in the home of another 88 year old Holocaust Survivor.
Daniel lost 6 close friends and 70 others who he knew well, and has other friends who are hostages. Hearing his story of perseverance, healing, and what he does to uplift and help others heal, was very powerful.
A particular powerful moment occurred when he realized that there were two Holocaust survivors in the audience, and Daniel promptly went over to each of them and gave them a big hug!
