A MESSAGE TO THE BOSTON COMMUNITY FROM THE PARENTS OF AGAM BERGER WHO IS STILL BEING HELD HOSTAGE WITH SO MANY OTHERS

Dear Friends,

WhatsApp Image 2024-05-30 at 4.39.01 PM.jpegIt is not often in life that you meet people, carrying so much pain of the unknown, who live with the knowledge that their 19 year old daughter is being held hostage deep underground in Gaza, yet carry their message with dignity, resilience, hope, faith, and an enduring message to others to do more.

Sitting with them and their children last night for two hours was something I will never forget. G-d willing at ChabadSudbury we will launch a special campaign of doing good deeds in her and the other hostages honor, which will both serve as a way of adding more light to the world, and also help raise awareness for the terrible plight of Agam and all the hostages!

Please listen to this very important message that Agam's parents Shlomi and Meirav have for the Boston Community!

Feel free to share so that others will continue to speak up and help make a difference, and will also consider doing more acts of good deeds, unity and more in her honor.

Today, we visited groups of soldiers and helped bring some joy and support to them in different places. We were advised of certain needs to help different people and have shared some support from our community.

On Sunday, we will be visiting wounded soldiers at Tel Hashomer, then more hostage families, others who we have been helping and more. The Sudbury community has helped sponsor different gifts, including gadgets, an air conditioner, Tefillin and more for some of the wounded and displaced people we are meeting.

Being here is a powerful experience and everyone here keeps expressing their gratitude for the visit and the support, and are telling us that this means the world to them, to know that they are not alone in this very difficult struggle.

The amount of stories, anecdotes and experiences here in the short time we have been here, is profound, deep, at times painful, and at the same time inspiring!

Thank you to the dozens of you who are helping us make a difference on this visit. If you wish to participate you may do so by using this link.

We will share more updates from Shabbat and what we do on Sunday & Monday next week!

Shabbat Services & Sunday School will run as always and we thank my son Mendel, Yale Zussman and others who have stepped up to help out this Shabbat & Sunday.

Now I am off to the Western Wall to pray the Friday Night Kabbalat Shabbat Service!

Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem!

Am Yisrael Chai!
