I just
came back from the international Chabad Rabbi's & Lay Leadership convention
which took place this past weekend.
The
weekend was awesome and it included many varied sessions on so many dimensions
of our work and the challenges facing our Jewish communities in today’s world,
but one of the main highlights was certainly the banquet on Sunday night Nov
23rd. Two unbelievable speakers shared their own personal experiences and
incredible stories with the crowd. One of them a former Israeli Ambassador and
an advisor to 5 Israeli Prime Ministers, gave a powerful and emotional speech
which we have posted below.
During
one point of the evening a roll call was conducted of the thousands of
representatives from around the world. At its conclusion 10 minutes of
spontaneous incredible Chassidic dancing captured the energy of the
evening.
