21 Innocent Souls

As a parent of young children, I cannot begin to fathom the terrible murderous rampage and bloodbath of young children and their teachers that happened today in Texas.

Looking at the pictures of the mothers outside the school trying to find out if their child is okay, is heartbreaking and gut wrenching.

There are truly no words.....

You sent off your child to school with a hug and then this happens.

This terrible rampage which has claimed the lives of eighteen young children and three teachers, is coming just over a week after the murderous hateful attack in Buffalo that claimed ten innocent shoppers, because they were black.

Crime and murders happen every day in our society and unfortunately we end up becoming to used to hearing about these kinds of things. Then these terrible mass murders happened and we are all jolted out of our peaceful reality by the cruelty and pain of these murders.

We certainly have a lot of work to do in this country to repair and help society become better and kinder, as we probe and seek to understand and then eradicate hatred and violence of this kind.

I hope and pray that our country can come together to work hand in hand to end this kind of madness, so that we never see such sights again.

Twenty one innocent souls were snuffed out tonight by a murderer. As we grieve, mourn, and debate what brought us here, let us try and do our part to make the world a kinder and nicer society.

The work ahead of us is hard and the road may be difficult and disheartening at times like these. Yet the change for good starts at home and in our own circle of friends and community and together we can do it and make it happen.

Together, we will and we must make a difference, no matter how difficult it will be.

To say a Psalm for the victims and their families, click here.

Give your children an extra hug and reassure them that the power of good is much stronger than the power of evil, and 99% of people are good and want the world to be a better, safer and kinder place.

May we know of no more sorrow and may our nation come together to do good, to help others, and to eradicate hatred and violence.
