The building collapse in Surfside, Florida and it’s terrible human toll have left us all reeling in shock as 159 people remain unaccounted for and several are already confirmed to have been killed. The crews are working around the clock to see if they can find signs of life beneath the rubble and the Police and Firefighters are staying beyond their shifts and not wanting to go home, in the hope that they can somehow save more lives.

It has been a busy run at Chabad of Sudbury, as we have our very busy Bar & Bat Mitzvah season in full swing, lots of exciting events, the beautiful Hebrew School Year End Celebration, prayer services, classes and of course Camp Gan Israel which is right around the corner.
Congratulations to the 40 students of our Hebrew School who just completed another successful academic year of Jewish learning and growth in a fun and exciting atmosphere.
This morning, I was busy dragging two full shopping carts overflowing with goods through the busy aisles of Costco and trying to move quickly so that I could get back to Sudbury as soon as possible on this busy Friday. There was a long line at the checkout that stretched back to the back of the store, but thankfully it moved at a good pace and soon after that I was finally at the checkout.
Today I am celebrating my Hebrew birthday, although my legal birthday is later this month, which means it also marks thirty years since my Bar Mitzvah. A lot has changed since then in my life, including the fact that I am older, and thank G-d, married, have a beautiful family and I am a part of a lovely community, but one other thing that changed is my fear of public speaking.
