Chabad of Sudbury mourns the passing of Alan Alford of blessed memory who passed away yesterday while surrounded by his dear family. Alan was a pioneer of Sudbury Jewish Community and helped found Temple Beth El some fifty years ago by going door to door to find the first Jews of Sudbury. In more recent years, Alan was very active in Chabad of Sudbury at classes, services, programs, and in so many other ways.
Alan will be remembered for his steady smile, his refusal to complain even if things were difficult and his love for his family, his heritage and youth in general.
