Trails, Bikes & More

Dear Friends,

Sudbury has some new gems in the form of new bike trails that have opened or are nearly open. One such path right next to Chabad of Sudbury will be paved in the next few months and it meets up with another section that heads north into Concord.

The nature that is in our backyard is beautiful and these new additions add a whole new element of appreciating the beautiful nature we reside in.

We hope to install a new Bike Parking Rack at Chabad and are exploring installing an air pump near the trail for the benefit of riders, so that they can fill up their tires at Chabad.

As Passover is in the rear view mirror and we count the Omer and head to Lag Baome and Shavuot and their own beautiful messages, I… Read More »

Powerful Moments at the Seder & Beyond

Dear Friends,

The room was full of dozens of people, as we went through the Haggada, and shared stories, readings and melodies together. It was when we reached VeHee SheAmda, which recounts how in every generation they rise up to destroy us, yet G-d helps us overcome time and time again, that we asked Din Tesler to come and share a few words.

Over the course of four minutes, Din shared his story of survival at the Nova Fest, the lives that he saved, and the many others that he saw killed before him, and he also spoke and prayed for his best friend, Bar Kupershtein who is still a hostage, for him too to be saved from captivity along with all the other hostages.

We then sang, Vehee SheAmda together, shoulder to shoulder, heart… Read More »

Passover Message

As Passover approaches and we prepare to gather around the Seder table and share this powerful story that has shaped our traditions, values and history, the message that it inspires us with today, is more important than ever.

Let us pray that the miracles that we celebrate should be repeated and the hostages should all be returned home and peace should be restored in Israel and everywhere else around the world where it is needed.

May the obstacles and challenges as formidable as they seem, be overcome with the blessings and determination we derive from this holiday, and may we succeed in continuing to share the values of Judaism that have shaped our ancestors journey for generations, with our children and their journey forward for a brigh… Read More »

Thoughts at the Wedding

As we stood overlooking the water and inlets of Miami and the Atlantic Ocean, and the beautiful Chassidic melodies played in the background, the bride (my sister in law Chana) and groom, Eitan, stood under the Chuppah and began their journey of building a Jewish home and family together.

As the traditional blessings were given to the couple and everyone wished for all the happiness and blessings in the world for Chana and Eitan, the remarkable ways of how they met, how their spark was lit, and how this relationship all began, were a powerful reminder of the Divine Providence, that was pulling all the strings and moving all the pieces, so that this groom and bride and their respective journeys will come together and become… Read More »

Pre Passover Hebrew School Fun

image (80).pngAnother great day of learning and fun at the Chabad Hebrew School at ChabadSudbury!

The students continued learning about Passover, made some beautiful projects, including a stunning Seder plate, and of course continued their regular learning too!

Some of the students even got a chance to read from a Hagadda that was over 200 years old from Germany.

You can see lots more pictures of this fun day of learning over here.

Why & How my Grandparents Saves Jewish Families in the Holocaust

Join us this Shabbat, to hear Klod Melka's powerful story of how his his grandparents saved four Jewish families from the Nazi's in Albania during the Holocaust.

Had his grandparents been caught for this terrible crime of saving Jews, they would have been killed along with the families that they hid. Yet nevertheless they and others risked their lives to save the Jews of Albania, and as a result so many survived the evils of the Holocaust.

Join us at the Kiddush Luncheon on Saturday April 5th at 12:30pm to meet Klod and to hear his powerful story.

This event will take place after the weekly Shabbat Services which begin at 10am, with a Torah Reading and Message at 11am, to which all are welcome.
