Israel, a Beacon of Light

It has been less than 80 years since the horrors of the Holocaust, and yet today Israel and the Jewish people are thank G-d flourishing and growing by leaps and bounds in Israel and around the world.

Yet watching the pain and sorrow of the thousands of grieving families, including multiple dear friends of ours, who have lost loved ones in this story of survival and growth, is painful and something that should cause us to stop and acknowledge their pain and the sacrifices that were made to help us be where we are today.

The Power of our Words

SPOKEN WORD.jpgToday more than ever our words can be sent all over the globe and can have an impact on someone on the other side of the world or around the corner in ways we might not be able to imagine.

Words and our communications are a powerful tool, that can be used to build or sometimes to destroy. Once they leave us, we can't bring them back one way or another.

Bullying, Divisiveness, Criticisms are just a few methods in which simple words can undermine the equilibrium of another human being, and sometimes cause deep pain and hurt, to a single individual or to a huge group of people.

Recap First Days of Passover

 


We hope you have all had very meaningful and uplifting Passover Seders and the messages and joy from being gathered around the table celebrating this holiday, are carrying you forward.

Thank you to the many dozens of you who joined us at the Passover Seder at Chabad. We had a truly uplifting time and a wonderful evening together and it was heartwarming to see so many old and new faces celebrating this special tradition and its messages.

Chabad of Sudbury has also been able to hold Passover events at multiple senior or nursing homes in the area, which have been unique and special in their own way.

Happy Passover

 

Tomorrow evening, millions of Jewish people will be sitting down at a Passover Seder in homes, synagogues, community centers and so many other places around the world. From the largest Seders in the world on the hills of Nepal and the islands of Thailand, to the Seders being run by our Chabad friends in the middle of the war zone in Ukraine, and of course the length and breadth of Israel, to the homes and apartments of people in the greater Sudbury area, the sentiment and message will all be the same.
