Purim Report & Photos

 

Thank you to the hundreds of you who joined us over Purim at the many programs and events for all ages!

To the dozens of adults who joined us for the Purim Black & White Celebration, to all the people who joined us for the morning services, to the dozens of students at the Hebrew School who enjoyed a fun program at Sunday School, and to the huge crowd of families, children and adults who joined us for the Purim in Israel Celebration on Sunday afternoon!

Watching all the hundreds of smiles of young and old, the dozens of children and adults in costume, listening to the Megilla, do a prayer for Israel and the hostages, and all the children having fun doing the many Israel themed activities, made it a truly special and fun event.

Hamantaschen Bake Photos

 

Thanks to the dozens of ladies who came this past Sunday evening to the Pre Purim Hamantaschen Bake at Chabad of Sudbury! The fun, the joy, the being together as a community, the great tasting Hamantaschen and a reminder of the message of Purim as it applies today, all made for an amazing evening of fun, socializing and Purim joy!

A Special Chuppah Ceremony

Chuppah.jpgThis past Sunday, we had the opportunity to host a beautiful Chuppah Ceremony for two dear friends, who although married with a civil ceremony for many years, hadn't yet merited to have the Jewish Chuppah Ceremony.

It was an emotional and beautiful event as family and friends gathered for this meaningful and joyous celebration.
As they said, "it was something that they had wanted to do for a long time, but recent events in the world, made the importance of doing this Jewish act, that much more meaningful and important to them".
Mazal Tov Vladimir Flidlider & Faina-Marina Gorelik, the wonderful and inspiring Chatan & Kallah and many more decades of good health and blessings together!

Is History Repeating Itself?


The Jews were facing rising antisemitism all over the world. 

The forces of evil held tremendous sway over the sentiment on the street, media, educational campuses and even the leadership of the world superpower.

Many Jews were intimidated and lowered their heads, hid their identity, or bowed down to the antisemites in fear and trepidation, in the vein hope that somehow this would make them fit in and be likable.

From Times Square to Sudbury

 

This past Saturday night, thousands of Jewish teenagers from Chabad Centers around the globe, including Sudbury, celebrated a musical Havdallah and Concert in Times Square, NY.

You can see a video of one powerful moment over here.

To see the images of thousands of teens dancing and celebrating their Jewish pride, praying for peace in Israel and the return of the hostages, and full of incredible joy and happiness, was truly uplifting.

We have an action packed few weeks ahead full of meaningful activities for Purim, Adult Ed, Classes, Israel related events, Shabbat & Weekday Services, Teen, Senior & Youth events and so much more and we hope you can join for whatever works for you.
