JBN "Leveraging Israeli Innovation Event"

Yesterday a large group participated in the monthly Jewish Business Network event which featured a presentation entitled "Leveraging Israeli Innovation in Massachusetts". The interesting talk and presentation was delivered by David Goodtree of the CJP's Israel Advocacy Group who also recently participated in the Governor’s trade mission to Israel.

David presented the findings of some new research which showed how integrated the Israeli economy and the Massachusetts economy are and how Israeli companies play such a big role in the local economy in terms of jobs and dollars.

Purim in Hawaii Pictures & Report

Yesterday Sunday March 20th Purim 2011 a full house celebrated a Purim in Hawaii celebration right here in Sudbury.

Dozens of adults and children enjoyed an awesome Purim Party which included the Megilla Reading, a Megilla Slide Show, Music & Games from DJ Noah Zidel who even had the adults running around the room, creative caricature drawings from an onsite artist, a great Hawaiian Purim Dinner, a Purim costume masquerade, a Purim Trivia Game and lots more.

Pictures & Report of Women's Night Out - Pre Purim - Middle Eastern Desserts

This past Sunday night a fun Ladies Night Out took place at the Chabad Center of Sudbury featuring Middle Eastern Desserts, Socializing and Fun, & a great Pre Purim Discussion.

"Middle Eastern Desserts" the featured culinary presentation for the evening was presented by Denise Roditi who shared a demo & recipes of how to make delicious items like Menenas and Baklava. Each participant besides being able to taste an array of desserts was also able to take home some to bake at home.

A delightful Purim discussion was led by Shayna Freeman as to the modern day meaning and lessons of the Holiday of Purim.

"The Revolt at Sobibor" Sudbury, MA May 18th

Philip Bialowitz is one of eight living survivors of the infamous Nazi death camp, Sobibór at which he and other prisoners overpowered their captors and freed approximately 200 of the camp’s 600 slave laborers. Philip's story is a dramatic story of survival, strength, and victory and is sure to make a powerful lecture when he comes to Sudbury on May 18th.
