This week, I had the opportunity to be involved in a very moving experience, in pairing up a soon to be Bar Mitzvah boy who I am studying with, with a seriously wounded IDF soldier, who together with his parents gifted this wounded veteran with a pair of Tefillin of his own, as the boy begins his own milestone of starting to wear Tefillin.
The injured soldier whose name is Daniel, lost his two commanders in the attack, spent two and a half months in the ICU and many months since then in Rehabilitation, and as part of this he decided that wearing the Tefillin and reciting the Shema each day, is something he would really like to do.

This week, King Charles made a surprise visit to Golders Green, a heavily populated Jewish neighborhood in London. Apparently among the places which he visited, he also visited the Jewish bakery Grodz, (one of my favorite childhood bakeries), and was gifted with a large Challah, presumably for his Shabbos dinner this week.

Thank you to the dozens of families and individuals who joined us for the Lag Baomer Celebration at Chabad of Sudbury this past Tuesday. From Horse & Pony Rides to fun on the Bounce House, to great food from the Grill, a Lag Baomer Bonfire and S'mores and so much more, everyone had a blast enjoying this festive holiday.
Yesterday I arrived in Israel to join my parents and siblings for a special family get together in honor of our mother's birthday. We had planned this a while back, but then didn't know if we would come or not due to the war and all the flights being canceled.
We have been keeping in mind that which the Rebbe would always tell people, during times of crisis in Israel, that it is the land about which the Torah says, "A land, which the eyes of G-d your Lord are on from the beginning of the year until the end of the year".
Rabbi Yaakov Lazaros, who directed and ran Chabad of Framingham for close to 48 years, passed away this morning surrounded by his family.
