Eating, Kosher, & Judaism in the 21st Century

 

Have you ever wondered what is Kosher? What is the real story? Does this have any meaning in the 21st century? Is it about healthy eating? Is it about ethics and morals?

Join us for a journey through the origins, history, spiritual meaning, and modern day application & relevance of "Kosher".

This course will explore the early origins of values to how we eat, look through the biblical sources to see how it developed, discover some fascinating tidbits of info, delve into the spiritual purpose of Kosher, probe into the Jewish approach to food and eating, deal with modern day questions and applications, analyze the Kosher Industry, and lots more. 

There course will begin on Wednesday July 7th, and continue on Wednesday the 14th, & 21st. The classes will begin at 7:30pm - 9pm and will include text based reading, and multi media and power point tools.

There will be a small fee of $39 for this course, scholarships are available as always.
