Community Passover Seder!

Community Passover Seder!

You are invited to our Community Seders where tradition comes alive on Wednesday, April 8th 2008, 7:30pm and on Thursday, April 9th 2008 8:30pm. All are welcome but RSVP necessary. Birkat Hachamah Event to be held in Sudbury

Birkat Hachamah Event

The Chabad Center of Sudbury will be hosting a unique event which only takes place once every 28 years on Wednesday Morning April 8th at 8am. The Birkat Hachamah event is a rare event in the Jewish Calendar which marks the moment when the Sun returns to the position it was in at the moment of creation.

Schindler Survivor to speak for the Chabad Center of Sudbury

The Chabad Center of Sudbury invites you to come and hear the incredible story of Mrs. Rena Finder a local resident who is a Schindler's List Holocaust Survivor. Rena has an amazing story to tell and has agreed to share her story with an audience at the Chabad Center of Sudbury. The event will take place on Sunday evening April 26th at 7:30pm at the Chabad Center. Please reserve the date and time and more details will follow next week

This past Sunday we hosted a great Model Matzah Bakery at the Nobscot Reservation in Sudbury. Dozens of adults and kids participated in this great educational and fun event.

Lots of great pictures are available on our website, additionally the Sudbury Town Crier featured the event on the front page of the second section.

Yesterday a ton of people packed the Nobscot Scout Reservation for the Brit of our son who we named Menachem Mendel. Pictures of the event are available here.

  Purim in Israel Report / Pictures

We just completed an awesome Purim here at Chabad of Sudbury. We began Purim with a Megilla Reading on Monday evening at the Chabad Center. On Tuesday we had a magnificent Purim in Israel celebration at the Nobscot Scout Reservation.

Participants were able to enjoy great Israeli food, Israeli Music, a Multimedia Megilla Reading, and a wealth of great sites in Israel to visit, such as the Dead Sea Spa where they could treat themselves to Dead Sea products, the Shuk where they could squeeze their own orange juice and six other great locations to visit.

 On behalf of the Chabad Center of Sudbury, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Abner Salant, Mr. Harold Salant, and the rest of the Salant family upon the untimely loss of  their wife/mother Mrs. Priscilla Salant.

Priscilla along with her husband Abner  were long time residents of Sudbury and had joined us for many occasions and services at the Chabad Center and will be deeply missed.

Priscilla is survived by her husband Abner, and her children Harold & his family of Acton, MA, David and his family of France, and Sharon and her family of Florida.
