This past Thursday evening more than a dozen guys enjoyed a Chanukah night out and Farbrengen. Chanukah stories and personal anecdotes were shared by all the participants which led to some great discussions, exchange of ideas, inspirational stories, and networking with each other. 
 
Oh, and forgot to mention that all the good Scotch got finished too.

10th of Tevet Fast & Service

10th of Tevet Fast & Service
 
This Sunday Tevet 10 (December 27) is traditionally observed as a day of fasting due to several major events which occured in Jewish history. Tevet 10 was also chosen to also serve as a "general kaddish day" for the victims of the Holocaust, many of whom the day of their martyrdom is unknown.

We will be holding afternoon Services at 4pm which will be followed by a short video presentation and break the fast. We encourage you to join us. The fast begins at 5:43 am and ends at 4:51 pm. For more about the 10th of Tevet, you can click here.

We are currently celebrating the festival of Chanukah, the Festival of Lights.  The main feature of this festival is the kindling of the eight branched Menorah and hence its name.

This past Sunday night dozens of brave locals braved the cold and heavy rain to join us in the town center of Sudbury for an exciting Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration. The eight foot Menorah was lit despite the heavy rain, and then everyone joined in some great Chanukah singing.
 
Benjamin the juggling clown performed a stunning show which kept both adults and children entertained, and then proceeded to fashion incredible balloon twists.
