Brunch with the Scribe


Join us on Sunday morning Dec 6th for an exciting and informative Brunch with the Scribe.


The Brunch will feature Mr. Arieh Freeman from London, UK who is a renowned scribe and lecturer in Jewish Scribal Arts.  Arieh Freeman lectures on scribal arts and its history and traditions,  ancient scriptural writings, graphology, and calligraphy art.


There will be a 9:00AM optional Morning services and at 10:00am the formal Brunch with the Scribe will begin which will include a presentation and Q & A session on traditional scribal writing, and the ceremonial conclusion of a handwritten Mezuzah Scroll which will then be raffled off.

A Mumbai Memory from someone who joined us at our High Holiday's this year

About a year ago, on Yom Kippur, I had the pleasure of spending the holiday at the Chabad in Mumbai.  As I returned to the US a few days later, I looked back on the experience with joy and gratitude.  Little did I think that a mere month later, those memories would change to sadness and pity.

Reflections: Mumbai One Year On




Mumbai One Year On


Just one year ago the world was witness to a series of deadly attacks in Mumbai, India, which claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent victims in hotels, train stations and a Chabad Jewish Center.  In these attacks we lost our dear colleagues, Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg, who were brutally murdered along with multiple guests in the Chabad Center which they had built and ran.


For two days the terrorists were holed up in the Chabad Center and no one knew what would be the fate of Gabi, Rivky, their two year old son Moshe, and the guests who were staying there.  Around the world we were glued to our screens and news channels to see what would happen as we all prayed… Read More »

New Torah for Mumbai

This evening I merited to be a part of a spectacular and moving celebration and tribute to the memory of Gabi & Rivka Holtzberg at the annual international Chabad Rabbinical Convention in NYC. The convention has drawn close to 4000 representatives and Rabbi's from around the globe and will last through the weekend.

Tonight's celebration featured the completion of a Torah Scroll in memory of Gabi & Rivky Holtzberg of Mumbai, India and a large procession of dancing through a major Brooklyn Blvd by thousands upon thousands of people.

The event will feature the lighting of an 8 foot Giant Menorah, an amazing show for Adults and Kids by Benjamin the Juggling Magic Clown.

Toys for joy is a Toy drive for kids in local hospitals to be given out later that week by local volunteers. (If you have brand new toy's or would like to sponsor some brand new toys that we can distribute in the hospitals on Chanukah you can either drop off the toys at the Chabad Center or bring them to the Menorah Lighting)

Tragedy in Texas

The Chabad Center of Sudbury shares its condolences and stands together with the brave men and women of the US Armed Forces after the terrible and horrific attack in  Texas yesterday in which 13 young brave individuals were killed.


May the families be comforted from this terrible tragedy.


Cape Cod Chabad Center Vandalized


On another note a hate crime was perpetrated against the Chabad Center of Cape Cod this past Tuesday with hate symbols and random vandalism found all over the Chabad Center. The good news is that the the attackers were caught!

Dear Friends,


This week was an exciting week at the Chabad Center. On Sunday morning we started off our week with our Sunday morning Minyan and Brunch and then in the afternoon we joined together with the Chabad Center of Natick for a joyous street celebration featuring the completion of a New Torah Scroll. Mazal Tov to Chabad of Natick on this special occasion.


Sunday evening our great new JLI for Teen's course began and the teens love it! It is not too late to join read below for more details.
