Despite it being smack in the middle of a hot summer, the current course Kosher & Beyond has drawn a great crowd for an insightful and intriguing course. The first class of the course focused on the history of permitted and prohibited eating through the perspective of the Torah. This class also covered many of the basic ideas of what is Kosher.

Dozens of friends and relatives joined together for a festive barbecue in honor of the Myara Family of Sudbury who will shortly be returning to Israel. Friends and family members shared their feelings and well wishes to Shimon & Stephanie and to their children Lior who is joining the IDF and Ben, Even and Hila.
The Shavuos celebration hosted by the Chabad Center Of Sudbury was the largest to date with over 70 participants who crammed into every inch of the Chabad Center in order to enjoy the moment. It was a little different to the first time we ever held a Service in Sudbury on Shavuos 2006 when we had just 20 people.
This past Sunday May 2nd, Lag Baomer, the Chabad Center of Sudbury held its 4 year Gala Celebration and Fundraiser. Many supporters and friends gathered together for the evening which paid tribute to 4 years of the Chabad Center of Sudbury and to all of its supporters and friends.
Yesterday dozens of local businessmen and women gathered together at the monthly Jewish Business Network event which featured a talk by the legendary former CEO of Malden Mills, Aaron Feuerstein. The event which was held at the Wingate at Sudbury included the talk by Mr. Feuerstein, networking time, and refreshments and socializing time.
On behalf of the Chabad Center of Sudbury we extend a hearty Mazal Tov to Mr. & Mrs. Tomer & Shiri Jackman and their son Roy upon turning Bar Mitzvah. This Shabbat April 24th Roy will be called to the Torah for the first time at the Chabad Center of Sudbury in a celebration with lots of friends and family. On behalf of the Chabad Center of Sudbury we express our deepest condolences to the entire family of Micky Moffie and especially to her two children Gary & Nancy and their families. I only got to know Micky one year ago, but it turned out to a be a very long and special year. We celebrated her Bat Mitzvah together at the age of 83 along with many of her friends and relatives, enjoyed many special events and occasions, and was inspired by her love of life and the way she lived each day to the maximum.
This past Wednesday evening March 24th some 30 local business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals joined together for the second meeting of Jewish Business Network of the Sudbury area. Business owners came from many different sectors, including Legal, Real Estate, Financials, Long Term Care, Consumer Products, and a wealth of other sectors.
This past Sunday March 21st, well over 150 people joined the Model Matzah Bakery which was held at the Nobscot Reservation in Sudbury to experience a truly exciting and memorable Passover Experience. In the space of three sessions participants from Sudbury and the surrounding towns (including a nice big group from Congregation Beth E-lokim in Acton) joined together for a fun hour of Matzah Baking, Passover Fun, and a delightful hour of hands on educational fun.
